COLORED TIGHTS

Shirt: Ann Taylor,  Sweater: Zara,  Bag: Zara,  Skirt: H&M, Tights: H&M,  Shoes: JSL Studio
One of the things I wanted to change this season, was opting for colored tights to jazz my work looks when wearing skirts or dresses. First, it’s important to have the right color shoes when wearing colored tights. I paired burgundy tights with a dark blue skirt and opted for navy blue suede pumps.  To avoid a total color blocked look, I added a leopard cardigan which is always a perfect addition to jazz an otherwise boring or simple look.

ZIP ME UP

Blazer: Twelfth Street,  Skirt: Zara,  Boots: Stuart Weitzman,  Bag: H&M
I love when you buy a piece of clothing that can be worn 2 ways. And so it was with this blazer that can be worn as a peplum and cropped jacket. The zippers make this look so chic that it served as a perfect combination for this zip front skirt to create one uniformed look. With the touch of pink, it brightens this otherwise dark look.

DOUBLE DUTY: GLAM TO ROCKER CHIC

Skirt: H&M (Current),  Top: H&M (Current), BagH&M (Current),  Leather Jacket: H&M (Current),  Boots:Steve Madden
Midi skirts are characterized by length, from right below the knee to mid-calf. Midi skirts  are made in flare, a line or pencil styles. The midi of choice for me is curve hugging pencil style. To balance the body con fit, I paired it with a printed top to draw the eyes upward.  When the bottom of your skirt grazes your calves, it’s important to highlight the waist to create shape . Tuck in your blouse or opt for a top that touches the midriff.

All Tied Up

Sometimes you just feel like wearing a tie. Why the hell not? I have never been one to let gender dictate what type of garments or accessories I wear. It would be foolish to let social norms restrict me from some of the fabulous bow ties and suspenders I manage to find.
Blue is my absolute favorite color so when I found this snazzy blue tie, I couldn't resist. The outfit overall is perfect for chilly SoFlo days like today. A black cardigan is worn over a white button down shirt with black trim detail around the collar and is cinched at the waist by a thin waist belt. Funky textured pantyhose round out the menswear-inspired winterish look.
