Metallic

The metallic trend will be one of the hottest for the following season. But how to wear it, without being over the top and get lost in a sea of gold, silver and glitter? My idea is to choose a piece of clothing with shimmering fabric (in my case a pair of shorts) and then use neutral color to balance it (I went for a grey turtleneck and black tights). Then you can add shiny accessories to complete your metallic look. Today I'm wearing my new Guess silver watch and two wonderful bracelets from donnapiù. The first one is an arrow bracelet with black rhinestone... ultra chic, trendy and great to stack with other jewelry. The second one is a romantic infinity bracelet in silver , paired with a silver infinity ring. What do you think of this outfit?

Nerdy Glasses

Smart is sexy. And the fashion world seems to agree. What you need is just a pair of black framed nerdy glasses (the bigger the better) and you easily can turn into a sexy nerd. You can find hundreds of different models on Firmoo , the most popular online eyeglass store. And what's even better is that for first time customers the first pair is free! You'll have to pay only the shipping...great isn't it?
I decided to emphasize the look with knee high socks and my Litas. Pass or fail?

Polka dots galore!

-->

Some days ago I introduced to you a young and very talented Italian designer, Cecilia Di Foglio, and her bags. Today, I decided to wear one of the lovelies clutches she sent me, the Tremiti, and matched the polka dots print with my polka dots dress. Happy Friday everyone!

Working girl

You already know that I work in the fashion industry and as a consequence I can go to work dressed however I like. But I'm sure some of you must be elegant and formal to go to the office, so I decided to show you an office-ready outfit! Whato do you think? Do I look like a business woman?

Lace tights

-->
When it comes to fashion hosiery, nothing is more classic and timeless than lace tights. They are also quite versatile as they can go with many different outfits. This time I chose to wear them to spice up a total black outfit, to obtain a flirty and feminine look. But I'm sure they will also look great with a rocker tee, destroyed denim shorts and biker boots. The pair I'm wearing, was sent to me by the online shop Veneziana, where you'll be able to find an incredible range of tights, pantyhose, leggings, stockings and socks. All made from the best materials available, to combine fashion and comfort. Have a look at the website and your legs will surely thank you!

Nerocipria

Virna and Morena are two businesswomen from Mirandola, a town sadly notorious for the earthquake of May 2012. Severely affectedby this event, like many others, however, they decided to put themselves back in the game with a new project: Nerocipriaan e-commerce where they sell their handmade creations, all Made in Emilia. Witty, elegant fashion accessories from belts to bracelets, to bags and event-shirts. Why the name Nerocipria?  Nero (Black) .. is the color of darkness that has bounded them after the earthquake.Cipria (Powder pink)... the color of the drawer in which they kept this project. I must confess I was impressed not only by the uniqueness and beauty of their products, but also by the spirit of these women, who represent a wonderful example for us all. Never give up in front of difficulties!Today, I'm wearing their Brigitte beltwith a flower detail definitely perfect for spring. I decided to wear it with a very simple outfit in the shades of white and blueand added some gold details. What do you think of the final result?

Mango LBD

This Sunday I attended a lunch organized by our wedding caterers in a wonderful location in the countryside near Florence. The weather was perfect too, so I couldn't resist and I had to take some pictures. For this quite formal occasion I decided to wear a simple little black dress and then add a pair of big sparkling earrings and my leopard pumps (to spice everything up). What do u think of the result?

I was wearing:
LBD: Mango (new collection)
Bag: Celine

Pink and glitter

Today during lunch break, me and my official photographer Martina decided to challenge Lucifero ( an anticyclone that is bringing really hot weather in Italy - meteoroligist have fun giving silly names to these phenomena) and realize a small shooting... The location and the model are not the best but I do like the result...whart do you think?

Popbasic Polka Dot Shirt

For today, it is probably enough to know I've already worn this shirt three different ways and have plenty more ideas, so you'll be seeing these polka dots again! It is- as the company name implies- a good basic.

SHIRT (POPBASIC), VEST (MAURICE'S; OLD), SKIRT (BUFFALO EXCHANGE), TIGHTS (OLD), SHOES (FAMOUS FOOTWEAR), HAT AND NECKLACE (GIFT), GLASSES (C/O FIRMOO)

Outfit ideas

  • Bolero-Jannie McQueeny
  • Shirt-Women's navy jacquard polka dot shirt with a contrasting cream collar, from the Paul by Paul Smith collection
  • Skirt-Cmadeleines-Feminine and effortlessly wearable, 1980s Guy Laroche polka-dot pleated skirt will become your perfect summer essential. Beautifully crafted with fitted waistband and mind-length cut, the polka doll grants feminine and delicate approach to this piece. Laroche pleated skirt is equipped with a side seam zipper for closure. Perfect for an afternoon stroll on the beach, wear yours with an ivory tank and sling-back nude wedges
  • Tights-Give a little edge to your tunic or dress with these lace tights.Comes in either black or chocolate. These fit much like nylons.
  • Shoes-Jove-This sweet and demure pair of flats from Jove is versatile and will be a great addition to your collection. You can pair it with just about anything & ndash with a casual tee and jeans or with a pretty dress.
  • Necklace-Marbie effect

Striped skirt
This striped skirt is something else that, like my checked shirt, has been on my To-Get list for awhile now. There is just something about stripes I love so much! Simply irresistible.

SHIRT (MODBOD), LOCKET (GIFT), SKIRT ( ASOS VIA THREADFLIP AND KRYSTAL BICK)

Pencil skirt

What became clear in my flurry of playing dress-up though ,was the need to accentuate the retro-vibe this shirt has. A hat, vest, and pencil skirt later, and- Viola! An outfit ready for adventure

VEST (OLD), PENCIL SKIRT (OLD), TIGHTS (TARGET), SHOES (OLD NAVY), HAT (GIFT)T

Blazer and dress

.This was originally going to be bit of a test drive for a possible work outfit (do you ever do that?), but I decided it was rather dressier and, er, low-cut than I would wear to work. Still, I love the business edge the vest+blazer combo gives, and I like how the tights tie things together with the color scheme of the blazer and the flowers that are mimicked on the skirt.
Dress: Borrowed, Vest, Blazer: Catworld, tights: Target, shoes: Famous Footwear

Jeand shorts

As for my outfit, after finally embracing the tights-under-shorts trend, I find myself very excited for shorts and summer. This was a fun play on stripes. I think one set being vertical and one horizontal keeps it from being too fugitive-from-a-chain-gang. I quite like it actually

Shirt: J. Crew, Shorts: Gap, Tights: Target, Blazer: Catworld, Necklace: DEB’S, Bracelet: New York and Company, Shoes: Famous Footwear

Karo prints

As you all may know, I love Karo prints. English Karo is amazing! Thomas Burberry, in 1924, was the first to publish lining fabric pattern for trench coats on the market. He was inspired by the Scottish Tartans and it was soon to sign for an entire culture of English diamonds.
The dress I'm wearing here is from ZaraTrf, and the same dress could be seen on Sharon Den Adel, one of my favourite singers from Dutch band Within Temptation.

Different dress

Karo Skirt
If you're wondering where I found the same bows on this sweater as the skirt, I'll explain it:)
It's my mom's skirt, I didn't do any corrections on it, except shortening, it was a bit longer. My mom was slim as I, so it matched my waist perfectly. The material that was left of shortening was not thrown away. I used it to made these cute little bows

Sweater-United Colors of Benetton
Socks-Lindex

Grey High Waist Shorts

This shorts I'm wearing here and the bag from New Yorker are on sale(who is interested, can check it out on my fb profile sale album:P)
This is one of my ''casual'' outfits(for some it's not casual):D This is what it looks like when you are in a hurry and wear something instead of the elegant dress:)

Socks and top hat-Lindex
Heels and belt-Mango
Bag and cardigan-NY
Shorts-Zara
Blazer-Massimo Dutti

Boyish Look

This is one of the looks I do not prefer, but as the weather conditions got worse, you do not have the choice but to wear a couple of things beneath the coat, and the most comfortable boots because of the frozen streets and a lot of snow on it.

Beret- SIXJacket and shorts-Mango(they were trousers but I made shorts of it, just cut of some part and one women did the rest on her sewing machine)
Shirt- Vintage
Ring and leather belt-Lindex
Boots- Dr. Martens
