Lady in Red

Move over little black dress, there’s a new dress in town! Simple yet sexy with just the right amount of flair, my red dress from Asos is a MUST for any holiday soiree. A little red dress is just as chic and elegant as a little black dress and can be dressed up or down in so many different ways. For a holiday party or a night out on the town, I like to glam up my LRD by wearing a fancy jacket, a statement necklace and a stylish brooch. Patterned tights and a pair of edgy pumps add some sultry sex appeal to the look

Love is All You Need

Love is in the air, but does that mean we need to run out and buy a new outfit? Valentine’s Day is all about bringing out the sexy, but who said sexy wasn’t already sitting in your closet, waiting to be discovered? For me, it appeared in a form of a flirty little black dress with a cutout heart feature on the back. Because wearing red on Valentine’s Day is soooooo overrated, I thought it would be fun to create a look by using a mix of other colors, however, sexy red lips on V-Day are a must.
Any occasion is a perfect excuse to get dolled up, and weather your plans involve dining out at a fancy restaurant, heading to the opera, meeting with your girlfriends, or having a movie date with your couch, I’m sure my outfit is versatile enough to cover any romantic evening my boo has planned for us. This LBD on it’s own has a bit of the wholesome cheerleader feel to it, but once I’ve added these super funky Jessica Simpsonfishnet ‘fashion tights’, here, and topped (or bottomed) them with sky-high, flirty, jewel encrusted Betsey Johnson’s peep-toes, my dress had taken on a whole new sexy vibe, while still leaving something to the imagination.
To me, accessories help show off your personality in ways that clothing just can’t. I’ve always liked the contradiction between black and diamonds, and while most of my icing came from Lux, my diamond encrusted watch is by Fossilhere, and, of course, my beautiful heart shaped, long chained locket is by Origami Owl. Some of you might know of my love affair with this brand, and I can’t say enough about their beautiful, quality lockets and charms. I’ve already put in my order for this Valentine’s Day, and if you’d like to check ‘em out (or give the man in your life a hint), here’s a link: Origami Owl.

Country Bumpkin

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day for a neighbor. Won't you be mine? Mr. Rogers, anyone? That was my brother's favorite TV show when we were kids and for the life of me I do not know why a show with freaky puppets was ever popular. It's all a bit creepy to me. So there's that random subject for the day.

It's tax day, and I scrambled to get all of my taxes typed up and shipped off with all the checks attached to them. Blah, I hate taxes, but I am so glad to be done with them for the year.  I pulled out a dress that hasn't seen the light of day in a long time. I love it, but it's a bit too short without something underneath of it (at least for me). I paired it with some blue tights , a flower necklace, cowboy boots and a side braid. Cute and country.

Misz masz ...

Ealier I don't like colorful outfits... but now  I love it  !!!!!!!!!!!

Holiday Sparkle

You probably have a couple more holiday parties on the agenda this weekend and if you are like me, I am still loving any excuse I can find to deck myself out in some sparkles. I love how most sequin pieces never really go out of style (in fact I picked up this skirt several years back and I still love it) and are easy to wear when paired with some basic silk blouses and tights.
What will you be wearing this weekend to your holiday festivities?

PLEATS AND PASTELS

I think I'm addicted to scarves. Seriously, I have just counted them, I already own 24 of them and I still can't resist one that's cute. How weak of me! I got this little number in these photos from a second hand store nearby that sells thos kind of scarves for only one Euro each. I mean, who wouldn't be tempted?

My whole outfit today consists of second hand pieces, except for the tights and the bracelet. I love that kind of stuff, my clothes today have cost me less than 20 € overall and I don't need to feel guilty

Greeeeeen

Happy Friday!!! Boy am I glad it's the weekend. I still have one more loose end to tie up, but this weekend is going to be all about self indulgence. I certainly feel as though I have earned it. Tonight I'm going to check out some local bands perform in the Mission, and a bacon wrapped hot dog may be on my radar :) As for my outfit... it's pretty green. Like all green. I feel pretty retro in this ensemble, but I'm liking the vibe. Sorry for the general blurriness of the photos, but the sun was going down and my camera was doing it's best without the flash.

Pretty Pleats

Hello darlings! I hope you are all having a fabulous day! The sun was out today and it was glorious. I am pretty in love with these thick black polka dot tights. I don't feel like I have wore them nearly enough, but I like you guys to think I am sanitary so I will refrain from wearing them daily. Glad we cleared that up.

One of the best discoveries of my life (ok, that might be a slight exaggeration) is that you can wear a top, sweater or jacket over a dress and totally transform it. I got this darling dress at Nordstrom for a decent price back in November. Today I decided to put a see through knit sweater over it so it looks like I am just wearing a pleated mini-skirt. I really love the way this looks. I accessorized with a cool belt, necklace and adorable shoes. I am quite smitten with this outfit, if I could wear an outfit like this every day, I totally would.

Putting it In Neutral

Greetings, beautiful friends.  Hope you all have been having a wonderful weekend. I got in some retail therapy yesterday and ended up with four pairs of shoes, 2 dresses, 2 tops, a skirt, handbag, belt and a watch. A pretty successful day in my opinion. The skirt and handbag in these photos were purchased yesterday. How do you like them?

I really love these lace tights, they add such a dimension to an outfit. The back of this outfit is actually more interesting than the front. I love outfits that have a surprise element to the back. The vest is all lace in the back and the skirt has a wide vertical line. I added a simple necklace and bow bracelet as accessories.

Rank and File

Hello fellow fashion lovers! Hope you are all having a lovely weekend. I decided to wear a color today I do not own or wear a lot of: Army Green.  I tend to like it as a great neutral, but for some reason I just never think to wear it. My mom was kind enough to buy me four pair of colorful tights (in case you are a new reader to my blog, I have a bit of an obsession with colored and patterned tights) that she found for $1 a piece. My mom is pretty awesome, I've probably mentioned that too.

These were one of those pair and I was really eager to wear them since I haven't ever had a pair of tights from the green family. I paired the tights with a similar colored button down top that was lost in the abyss that is my closet, a black faux leather skirt, multi-strand necklace and leopard print heels for fun.

Mixed Signals

Hi all! Sorry I have been sparse these past few weeks, there has been a whole lot going on. Today I officially rejected an offer to stay where I am currently working. I was not pleased with the monetary side of it and I feel like this is my opportunity to change careers and do something different. It's nerve-racking and exciting all at the same time. We will see what comes about from my job hunt, hopefully I will find something sooner than later.

On to my outfit. I got these amazingly fun tights for a birthday present and immediately wanted to wear them. I knew I wanted to mix the big dot print on the tights with stripes, thus the belt and shoes. Mixing prints is effortless when you keep it in the same color family. Pair it all with a pink skirt and it's a party on our body. Am I right? Of course I am. It was lightly snowing when I took these pictures, just so you know those aren't huge flakes of dandruff.

Le Sac & Spidey

It was gorgeous outside today and I had the opportunity to take my photo's outside at my mothers office. They came out great and I am happy to share them. It was such a long day today. I had my classes then I was picked up and I went to my mothers office before getting my hair cut (just a trim) and then I came back here just to eat pizza and then go out with my brother and his girlfriend! It was a good day.
Well today I wore the American Apparel Le Sac dress which I adore along with my spider web tights and some flats. I did wear a sweater because it was windy. I love this dress because you can wear it so many different ways but tying the enormously long straps in different formations! :)
